I believe good design is ultimately about living well—comfortably, meaningfully, and with intention. My work as an interior designer is rooted in an academic approach to design, informed by philosophy, art history, and architecture, and grounded in the very real, everyday needs of the people who live in the spaces I design.
I was trained at one of the nation’s top interior design programs and bring a strong background in space planning, architectural detailing, and construction coordination to every project. Rather than chasing trends, I focus on how homes actually function over time—how rooms flow, how light moves, how materials age, and how design choices support the rhythms of daily life. The goal is always a home that feels calm, intuitive, and deeply personal, not overdesigned or performative.
Based in Long Beach, I work with homeowners throughout Long Beach and the surrounding cities on interior design, home remodel design, and renovation planning, including permitting, fully permitted plan sets, and construction-ready drawings. My services often span from early concept development through detailed interior design specifications, cabinetry and millwork design, finish selection, lighting and plumbing coordination, and close collaboration with contractors and fabricators to ensure what’s built matches what was designed.
Clients often come to me when they want more than surface-level changes—when they’re investing in a remodel or rethinking their home and want the confidence that comes from a clear process, thoughtful decisions, and well-resolved details. I use advanced design tools, including 3D modeling and detailed documentation, to make the process transparent and collaborative, so clients can see and understand their choices before construction begins.
At its core, my practice is about helping people create homes that reflect who they are and how they want to live—spaces that feel intentional, functional, and quietly beautiful, and that support a life lived with care.

Jennifer Morehouse, Founder & CEO
Founding partner for Long Beach City Lifestyle Magazine, preferred Interior Designer for Compass Realty’s Guided Luxury Network, and currently a strong contender for the People’s Choice of Long Beach Top Interior Designer award, I am a homegrown citizen with roots deeply embedded in this vibrant city.
I began my journey into designing houses approximately 25 years ago, initially sparked by playing The Sims. Interestingly, The Sims taught me valuable lessons about storytelling through interior design, which has influenced my creative approach. Over time, my formal education has equipped me with the technical skills and professional processes necessary to create homes that not only look beautiful but also function efficiently and support the unique aspirations of each homeowner.
